Stephen Amick became part of First Baptist’s church Building and Grounds Supervisor on June 1, 2011. His job ranges from cleaning, upkeep on building status and codes, setting up for events, and a helping hand whenever needed.
Stephen grew up in Doylestown. He graduated from Central Bucks West/South. After high school, he attended Berea College of Kentucky, where he received his Bachelors in Music, vocal performance, but more importantly was blessed with a beautiful wife, Gaelyn Amick. After college he began working at Doylestown Hospital where he grew a great appreciation for not only the cleanliness of that building but also a found respect for everyone’s attitude toward their patients and fellow colleagues. A year later Stephen began working at First Baptist, where he had attended from 1999-2005 for Jr. and Sr. high youth group. This is a place where he could take that attitude from Doylestown Hospital, and bring that friendly face to believers and nonbelievers who walk through First Baptists doors. He knows that with being one of God’s children, he needs to give his full attention to what God calls him to do. He hopes that with working in a church such as FBC, he will further learn and see Gods love at work.
