Ronaldo Ghenov

Assistant Pastor of Teaching and Outreach

I was born in São Paulo, Brasil in 1977. Due to economic hardships that swept Brazil in the late 1980’s, my family moved to the United States in 1989. Growing up, I learned a lot about God from my parents and from the churches that we went to and yet I walked through life assuming that I was right with God. After my freshman year of college I was asked to work with Child Evangelism Fellowship’s 5 Day Clubs. During the training I realized that I was being trained to tell kids about something that I had never personally done myself. In early June 1997 I admitted to God that I was a sinner, that I believed in what Jesus had done on the cross in my place and I asked Him to forgive me.

I went to college at Penn State University and graduated with a B.S. in Education (2001), served for 3 years at Kutztown University with the Coalition for Christian Outreach (2002-2005), and in May 2010 graduated from Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania with a Master of Divinity. The journey from pursuing teaching in a school setting to teaching in the church was a gradual one. These years involved affirmation from the church; and also a growing desire and realization that teaching God’s Word is what God has designed me to do.

August 18, 2007 marks the most memorable day of my life. On that day, I married my best friend and the love of my life. Kelli amazes me, supports me, and loves me. God’s greatest gift to me is his salvation; His second greatest gift to me is my incomparable wife.

In September 2010 I began working part-time at First Baptist Church of Doylestown as the interim pastor at “The 5”, preaching at and leading the Sunday evening service. In September 2011 I was blessed to be hired full-time as the Assistant Pastor of Teaching and Outreach. In this position, I will continue preaching at “The 5” as well as overseeing Adult Bible Fellowship, Small Groups, One-to-One Discipleship and Assimilation at FBC-D.

My life’s all-encompassing fascination is Jesus. I cringe imagining what my life would consist of if not for his gracious sacrifice for me. I want to know Him and make Him known. Since Jesus transformed my life, I want to be used of Him in the transformation of the lives of others. Anything short of that is catastrophic.
