Women’s Precept AM Bible Study

The Mission of Precept Ministries is “to establish people in God’s Word.” Its vision is for these people to “live as exemplary followers of Jesus Christ, studying the Bible inductively, viewing the world biblically, making disciples intentionally, and serving the church faithfully in the power of the Holy Spirit”.  Our Bible studies use the inductive study method, which is an investigative approach to the Bible using three basic components: Observation, Interpretation and Application.  Observation of the text encourages the student to understand the WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, WHY AND HOW of a Biblical passage.  This individual time spent observing Scripture to know what the Bible says and using sound principles of interpretation to understand what it means, gives us insight into how we can apply the truths of the chapter to our own lives. As we discover the truth, we know the truth for ourselves.  Although individual study is the first step, we encourage group discussion of personal observations and insights so confirmation, clarification, and correction are made in the fellowship of other students. Discussion of the Bible’s truths helps seal them in our minds and sharing application encourages us to greater obedience and holiness.  We meet on Thursday mornings starting January 19.
