Jerusha was raised in a family of four girls outside of Philadelphia. She graduated from Penn State in May of 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Having seen God work tremendously in her own life during her college years, she spent two years as a ministry intern for Campus Crusade for Christ, first at Penn State and then for a year in Freiburg, Germany. Jerusha has worked with a team at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio since 2004.
One of Jerusha’s favorite things about ministry is investing in young women and sharing with them that their significance comes from Christ, and the gospel brings fresh life.
Jerusha has a deep desire to share the gospel in areas where there is little to no Christian influence. So after 4 years at Kent State, she answered the call of the Greater Northwest Region, who desperately needed staff in general, women in particular. Located in the Northwest are some of the least churched, least spiritually interested communities in the entire nation. Oregon especially is a place where spirituality is accepted but religion and Jesus are not welcome. Currently she is serving as co-leader of the staff team at the University of Oregon in Eugene. She and her team are laying a foundation and building momentum for a movement of spiritual multiplication among the students of Oregon, focusing on evangelism and discipleship. It is their desire that students from Eugene would be transformed by the Gospel and sent out as world changers. Her responsibilities include working directly with students and training and developing new staff on her team, as well as in Corvallis at Oregon State.
